Today will be spent mostly travelling to Sydney… Catch you later.

Okay, so this leg of my journey is on a Qantas flight (not Emirates as the previous two) and the resounding words of my dear colleague, Seany, are ringing in my ear ‘Qantas never crashes’!. Hmm. My puzzled look when he said it meant he had to explain. If you’ve seen Rainman (Alex you should watch it) and your memory goes back as far as the 1970’s! you may recall Dustin Hoffman quoting these very words. Given that that was back in the 70’s and assuming the film makers had done their homework and it was true, I was too scared to Google it to see if there was an update in the last 40 odd years ha ha ha.

The meal wasn’t as extensive as with Emirates however it was piping hot (you was right Jim, I was sitting right the way back and one of the last to be served ha), however they came round with icecream too and it’s all included in the cost of the ticket along with the drinks so who’s complaining.

My companion today hasn’t spoken a word either although he did pass me my complimentary water (and thankfully, Lorraine, I’m not sitting next to your ex boss ha ha).

I’ve had a wonderful experience in Perth thanks to Lorraine, Jim and family thank you and now on to hopefully some more once in a life time experiences. I will return to Perth for sure x

I made it to Sydney and am now watching Murray in the Australian open tennis final.
