Day 3 starts with a bit of a moan. I have 4 mosquito bites on my left leg that appeared yesterday. They must have super nasty mossies here as the bites are hugggeee and red. Also got whacked by the turnstile yesterday going into the Roman Forum so have a big bruise. Also on my left leg 😣
So. Fortunately I heeded the advice of Tracey and took my umbrella as it was raining first thing 😣
But it’s now stopped 😊 . Managed to pass the Trevi fountain yet again. I’ve now seen it by day, by night and in the rain. Either Rome isn’t that big or they have several Trevi fountains!
Did however find another monument that we hadn’t seen in the Piazza Della Quirinale
Okay so I have an answer for you in respect of the church with no name from day 1….
And this is it close up..
Also got some close ups of the Tribunali building that we passed on the other side of the river on day 1.
You looking at me!?
Only in Italy….
Beautiful parking!
Nuns on the run!
Finally got back here..
We went in the museum and Sistine chapel. Wasn’t allowed to take any photos in the Sistine chapel 😣
And just in case you think I’m on a liquid diet …
Here’s my food….
Oh and here’s my poorly feet
Need a foot rub 😁
Very slowly making our way back to hotel… via the bars 😊
Last drink of the day/our holiday..😣
Map reading does not go well in the dark. Found ourselves passing Emanuelle II building again. The good news is we didn’t see any of the Trevi fountains!
Came across a new building (well old but new to us) on our travels back to the hotel. I’ll find out its name later 😊
The complimentary flip flops from my brother’s wedding (meant for dancing) served me well…
Ps. Mossies got me on my right leg too. Must be a different breed as they’re not too bad. My left leg looks like I’m suffering from some disease! 😣
Buona Notte x
