Or this long
So following on from my itinerary post I’ve had two comments. One from Mrs S who posed the following question ‘do you really think you’ll be able to walk between the different points of interests in the timescales listed. It is New York after all’!. Good point Mrs S 😂.
Secondly, Alex announced out out of the blue ‘have you even watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind’. Erm well no I haven’t but I haven’t seen The Devil Wears Prada either. Anyway I decided to watch said film on my dodgy box although I thought from the get go that I wasn’t going to enjoy it after she explained that Kate has her mind erased and then Jim does the same. I like films that are tangible. My dodgy box isn’t named that for nothing and I started watching film yesterday but I gave up after 2 hours as it kept freezing. Not to be defeated I gave it another go tonight! Started watching at 7pm persevering through the freezing, for 40 minutes; stopped for 1 hour 45 mins chat with Mandy; continued for another 10 minutes to the part of interest (a mere 10 second shot of Grand Central Station), after which i knew I should have stopped the film. However I thought I should at least get to the end. Finally finished watching at 10pm! I’m so glad Alex didn’t watch it with me as she’d have throttled me when I kept butting in asking questions. Needless to say I was well confused. I tried to make sense of the chronology of the film by the changing colour of Kate Winslet’s hair but that didn’t work. I can only describe the contraptions on Jim Carey’s head akin to a ladies hairdryer in a salon and the colander that the aliens wore in the Smash advert of the 70’s 😂😣. Barry Norman eat your heart out😂
