Morning everyone. Spending the morning in Xian before flying to Beijing.

I just remembered I didn’t have a bridge photo yesterday😂

Before I tell you about today this is…

So today we went to the old part of Xian (pronounced she han if I haven’t already told you). There’s a big wall between the old and the new town. The wall is very wide and there is a dam around it.

We then went and had a Chinese calligraphy lesson.

We then went to the Small Wild Goose Pagoda

And saw a diddy bell

And more trees wearing gold lamee trousers🤣

We then moouched around the muslim quarter and saw more interesting sights🤔.

Boarded the plane at 5.20 pm to fly to Beijing 😁.

Observations of Xian from the coach..

Riding side saddle and no hands😱!

Today a funny thing happened to me, twice! A man came up to me and wanted his photo taken with me 🤔. Linda, the guide said its because I have blue eyes🤣

We then went to the Muslim quarter and it was interesting!

We think this was squid or octopus. It looked disgusting🤮

I love a good sign as you know and as I’ve now given you two days without a bridge picture I thought I should make up for it with sign pictures….

We got to the airport to fly to Beijing and it had to be done! I love spare ribs but even I don’t think I’ll want another Chinese meal for quite a while when I get back🤣

And finally…

Such a shame really however our last hotel isn’t quite as nice as the others. The room looks nice enough but the bathroom is a little grubby and the hallways look very tired and drab. Hey ho.

Off to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven tomorrow. 😁
