Day 21 of 22 – flying home today – updated

Once again I’m starting tomorrow’s blog today as I’m behind you

Last night we had our last supper! If anyone has been to the Rico Rodriguez restaurant in Birmingham then you’ll know the deal

Eileen, bless her gave a speech, without any notice, to John, our tour manager, who was absolutely superb

This is some of our group on our last night…

Me, obviously and Arlene and we were nicknamed mouthy and McNeil who Eileen (sitting to my right) said were a duo however I hadn’t heard of them! I’m not mouthy! Strangely enough.

Eileen is to my right and Jackie is next to her. Allister is on Arlene’s left and is Eileen’s husband and Alan is on Allister’s left, who is Jackie’s husband! Gosh it’s like one of my logic puzzles🤣

Some people on the group have been given nicknames!

Our friends at the table had escaped this labelling until tonight! After a couple of drinks Jackie became ‘lipstick’ because she always has immaculately applied lipstick, Alan is ‘sticky’, Alastair is ‘6 inches’ and Eileen is ‘shrimp’!!! Maybe I’ll explain those nicknames later🤣

Will be pottering today as we’re not leaving hotel until 4pm. Couldn’t think of a better place to potter than around Copacabana 👍

You may not hear from me again today. I will do my usual review of my holiday whilst I’m on the plane. I my need all of the 11 hour flight in which to do it🤣

I spent my last morning at Copacabana Fort and I’m sure it would have been really interesting if the explanations had been in English. It had some wonderful guns on the top
