Taxi has arrived

So I’m at Gatwick and safely through customs and that nerve-wracking bit! Only just realised that it will be the first time I’ve flown since 2019 😱

Should be boarding any time soon😊

We are delayed… due to not being able to remove an inbound passenger from the plane and they need specialised help to do so!

If it’s an oil protester that’s glued themselves to the seat I’ll be really chuffing mad😡

Update at 1:26 am! Just getting into bed😫 It’s been a very long long day of travelling. I’ve amended my spelling errors/predictive text from above! 🤣

So oooo not sure how this tour is going to go. There’s 46 of us! So it’ll be slow and I don’t do slow, as you know. Time will tell.

Update on the delay is.. not an oil protester but a woman who needed assisted help to get on and off the plane decided that she wasn’t being assisted off the plane. Lord knows how she finally got off the plane as there was only one way off and that was past us! And she didn’t come out that way. Maybe she’s still in the hold😱

Finally, before I try to sleep. I’ve never flown with British Airways before however I’m renaming the BA to Budget Airlines! The menu, that we had to purchase, was pants and I think that they only had a dozen sandwiches on board to feed a possible 90 people that may all have wanted a sandwich! Which was the only substantial thing on the menu. First Class had hot food provided. From what I could see the only difference in their seating area was a pillow and a cloth thingy on the head rest 😆

Tomorrow is Syracuse and Ortigia with thankfully a 10am start😊
