I finally got there and it didn’t disappoint. If I go back again then I’ll probably base myself in one place and travel round as I haven’t quite seen it all😆

I would go back to Palermo because I didn’t see enough of the city and also Cefalù and Noto. The vineyards where we had our lunches were really nice. The hotels in Siracuse and Naxos were lovely.

So Tom the tour guide was very good given there were 46 of us. I don’t recall a third of their names.

We had lots of characters. Lots of deaf people and those that couldn’t walk very far! Tina was good company and young for a 76 year old in appearance but had opinions of a 76 year old!

Rob and Trish were lovely even if Trish said “absolutely” after everything. And you then found yourself saying it too😆 and she wore the trousers for sure!

There was Angelo and wife and their two friends. Angelo was born in Palermo and hadn’t been back in over 50 years! He was a proper Italian and fell out with his friends in front of the group when they didn’t save them a space at the dinner table! He sulked all through dinner.

There were two couples where the man looked way younger than the woman. Trish was talking to the one man and started to say “are you here with your..” when he interjected and said “wife” which saved Trish’s blushes as she was going to say “mother”🤦🏻‍♀️🤣

I had one man compliment me because he didn’t think I could have a 5 year old granddaughter awwwwww and another who daily pointed out my shorts 😆. Pity they’re both in their 80’s.
