So once again I woke up to different scenery… bit gloomy

Good news I found the life boat 😁

Good news again… I found another bridge😁

So today we went to the Shibaozhai Temple on the south bank near the Qutang Gorge. It has nine storeys 😁 that’s 99 steps. It was brilliant.

By the Dragon😁 . That reminds me I felt like B A Baraccus with all the neck wear 🤣

And here’s the bridge. Nick named the drunken bridge because its wibbly wobbly.

Sooo. Some of the points of interest in the temple

This is Jade Emperor the very highest of the high and if you put your hands together like in prayer, close your eyes and ladies turn to the right 3 times and end up back facing the emperor all whilst making a wish then that wish will come true. Men turn to the left. And yes Alex will know what I wished for🤣

This is the Queen of Heaven who was the Jade Emperor’s wife..

She had 7 daughters..

The story goes that the daughter in green went down to heaven and met a cow herder and fell in love. Mum was NOT happy and put a stop to it. She relented and decided she would let them meet once a year. That day was 7th July when Magpies came down and made a bridge which they crossed to meet each other. So 7th July is the Chinese valentines day💏

This is the duck cave and the story is that in order to see if the hole went all the way down to the Yangtze river they threw a duck down the hole. The duck eventually came out in the Yangtze river😁. The priests then used bamboo canes to draw up the water from the river! It was at least 99 steps up the temple plus the rock it is on so that’s a long bamboo cane and a very strong suck.🤣

Okay so everywhere you go on a trip a photographer follows you around! So I’ve been a little sneaky (or used my initiative) and then taken a photograph of the photograph.

Anyone who knows me well may have seen this look. Here it’s a ”what are you doing taking my photo’ look. Whilst Ceri looks on and gives him the finger.. we could be celebrities🤣

Sorry jumping all over the place today. Clearly I have too much time on my hands. I realised that I didn’t put many photos on from the ”dam” day due to not being able to get them off my camera… so here they are.. (sorry they aren’t in any order)
