Day 11 of 22 – crossing the Andes

Morning. Another early ish get up.

Somewhere behind that early morning mist is a volcano. I’m not sure we’ll see it though, anytime soon😂

Half way through the holiday already!

This is my travels today. Heading for Bariloche😁

Okay, photo alert!

First we stopped at Petrohue at some waterfalls

We then got to the first of 3 lakes, Todos los Santos which took 1.45 minutes to cross

It was quite cloudy in the morning

We stopped for lunch and it brightened up a lot

We then stopped at the border of Chile and Argentina

This is the last house in Chile

We then went across lake Frias which only took 20 minutes

Here we came across a replica of the bike that he rode from Argentina to Chile (or visa versa)

And the final lake was Nahuel Huapi which took an hour to cross

Someone famous is buried on here. Can’t remember who🤔

Inbetween a coach took us from lake to lake. So today I’ve been on 3 boats and four coaches and we set of at 7.45 am and we arrived at Bariloche at 8.45 pm. Phew

My room for two nights

And the hotel

They have lots of chocolate shops here!

And an alien which I’ll take a better photo of tomorrow!

Okay. Sorry for all the photos. It’s been a very long day but a very enjoyable one. Tomorrow I’m going on a ski lift thingy up a mountain😱

Goodnight xx
