Day 2 – On route to Cremona

So not a lot to report thus far.  Been travelling for 6 hours now and just crossed the Swiss border.  Having a lunch break.  Mine consists of tikka bites and a pork pie which I bought yesterday which I sincerely hope doesn’t give me food poisoning🤦🏻‍♀️

Apparently we have another 4 hours still to go. I don’t have a any interesting facts for now other than…

This company had a competition at local schools for children to paint pictures to put on their vans. There’s quite a few different ones around apparently. I’ll try and get a better photo as we carry on😊

Switzerland is very pretty from what I can see from the coach!

We’ve been through lots of tunnels today in Switzerland including the Gotthard tunnel, Matthew, which is 57 kilometres long!

Gosh this is a really good painting by a child🤦🏻‍♀️🤣

So it’s 5.30 pm my time, 4.30 pm your time and we’ve been on the road since 7am. We’ve just got to Italy and it’s 1.5 hours to the hotel. Phew.

So an interesting fact for Italy is… when on the motorway you have restrictions on how fast you can drive dependent on the cc of your car. For example up to 1000cc might be 70 kph, up to 1800cc might be 80 kph, then 2 litre up to 90 kph but in a Tesla you could go 200kph, Matthew 🤣🤣. Not sure what happens if you don’t comply! They do carry guns🤷🏻‍♀️.

So this is an example of the daft things Liz says. So we’re driving through Milan and she’s telling us all interesting facts and she tells us that Milan has two football teams and they share the same stadium and that they obviously can’t play home games at the same time🤦🏻‍♀️🤣

My hotel room for tonight. The bathroom is arguably as big as the bedroom🤣. Mind you will be nice than my ferry cabin tomorrow night.

Just going to traditional Italian dinner where we all sit down together. Jac Tracey and Alex will all know what that looks like 👍

Now we’re talking. Only in Italy
