So to begin with I’ll mention a few of my travelling companions..
Alison and Andrew sat across from me and Alison introduced herself straightaway when we got on the coach. Andrew liked things just so, is all I’ll say. He waited very very patiently for more lasagne in one hotel and didn’t move away from the food station until it arrived. He also told a very chatty passenger behind him to save all his stories until 3pm. It was 7am and we were all still very tired.

Phillip whose birthday it was (69) is very well travelled.Β He also stopped telling me only after day 4 that I must have booked really early to get the front seat! (His seat). He also kept forgetting my nameπ.Β It wasn’t until we’d walked for miles up a hill to get to the old town of Fiuggi that he told us he had a heart problem and weak ankles! He then fell over because of his weak ankles on the way to the beach in Rodi Garganico and came back with two plasters on his face and a bandaged wrist π€·π»ββοΈ

Maria, the Czech lady, you already know all about!
Denise became my travel companion which was very nice because we were very like minded. She liked walking like me and she got my book back! π

There were three Peters. Two with wives, Janette and Brenda who were all lovely.

We had the wheelies, Keith and Joan

So I ticked off a guided tour of the coliseum when I went out onto the arena floor so that was good.
We needed more time in..
Trani
Lecce
The trulli houses
Otranto
Matera
Bari
Vieste
Peschici
There was nothing particularly memorable about Ostuni to be honest.
The nicest hotels were in Cisternino and lake garda (where actually I don’t recall seeing one single cat!)
I think I’m going to give Italy a miss for a few years because every time I go to Italy I get bitten to death. Not good π
Oh and we’ve travelled 6,162 kilometres in 16 days

love the summary of your tour βΊοΈ…safe travels home….π
