I’m starting early (before day 16 has begun) to give you some trivia and fill in some gaps (maybe)
Carol noticed that there are no cats wandering about (like in most countries). Answer is.. there are cats but they are house cats because if they go outside they get eaten by cougars or taken off by Bald eagles!
There is a statue of Robert Burns in Stanley Park (maybe a photo to follow later today/ tomorrow). After Queen Victoria and Columbus he has the third highest number of statues around the world. Who knew!
Terry Fox (6 statues at BC place stadium) conceived the marathon of hope which was a cross Canada run to raise money for cancer research after having had a leg amputated due to osteosarcoma. It wasn’t a happy ending but please do Google him
Canada place Harbour has 10 sails which represent the 10 provences of Canada
The statue of the runner taken in Stanley Park was Harry Winston Jerome who held 6 World sprint records
The 9 O’clock gun is sounded every night at 9pm
I’ll be back later with more photos
So there’s absolutely nothing nice about Vancouver! Let me show you! 😂
So the first two are time markers more for me than anyone! I took the first at 10.02 and the second at 13.08. I haven’t photo shopped them because I wanted to show that the man in the first photo who was completely out of it did either eventually move or was carried away in an ambulance!🙄

It also means it took me three hours to walk full 6.5 miles full circle of Stanley Park

Then I got the ferry to Lonsdale Quay

So you see! Nothing to like here huh 🤣

Very interesting trivia Sharron….I will Google the 9 o’clock gun…
Poor cats….but glad to hear they are safe indoors…
Fasciniating about Robert Burns…who knew?
