Updared Reflections of my Canada/Alaska voyage

First off group photo..

And airport photos!

Solid jade apparently

Sooooo I’ve had a wonderful time.  I’m so glad that I do my blog so I can remember what I’ve done!

So in no particular order..

Of the other 40 travellers by the end of the holiday I think I only knew 10 of their names🤦🏻‍♀️

Even though I had two beds in my room I only slept in one of them (I was thinking of the room attendant!)

There was another villa fan in the group!

The staff on the ship need to get 5 star reviews from guests otherwise they lose their job😱

Great company

I liked the Rocky Mountaineer however it was a little too long.  Lovely food but there’s only so much scenery you can look at but you did feel special, probably more special if you travelled gold leaf🙄😂

I didn’t see too many people vaping however with cannabis legalised maybe they don’t want to vape!😂

I heard the 9 O’clock gun last night

There are a lot of public washrooms in Vancouver!

We’ve been very lucky with the weather.  They have floods in Banff now.  It didn’t rain in Alaska. I didn’t need my thermals! Vancouver has been nice and hot

Got to get the plane now but I may be back later

We were banned from going into China Town! Too many drug addicts day and night 😱

And WHY do people run! There were lots of people running around Vancouver but no one looked happy whilst they were doing it, quite the opposite in fact.

I did love the A-maze-ing statues.  The guy that designed them made them all of himself🤷🏻‍♀️and going on the glacier was pretty special I think

I don’t think there was anything I didn’t like expect cruising isn’t for me! I don’t like the boring sea days.  I can be lazy and do nothing all day however I usually have free rein as to where I do that and not the confines of a ship😂

Colin the tour manager was phenomenal throughout

If you remember back to the tortoises Geoff couldn’t find a photo of them hibernating in the fridge (why would you not have one!) for me to post, however I’m betting he puts them in the fridge just to take a photo for me!😂

I think that’s me over and out for another holiday 😘

Great to hear your reflections Sharron and your enjoyment of your wonderful holiday adventures …loved your blog as always and hope you enjoyed doing it as much as I have reading it….☺️

Safe travels home, sorry to say it’s forecast soggy here this week after a scorcher of a heatwave last week!
